IHS Holding Limited, known as IHS Towers, is a prominent global player in the communications infrastructure sector, specializing in the ownership, operation, and development of shared communications towers, primarily in emerging markets. The company has a significant presence across eight countries, including Nigeria and Brazil, with over 39,000 towers under its management.

In its second-quarter 2025 financial report, IHS Holding Limited reported results that exceeded expectations across all key metrics, leading to an upward revision of its full-year outlook. The company highlighted strong year-to-date momentum, which has been a driving force behind its improved financial guidance.

Key financial metrics for the quarter included a revenue of $433.3 million, a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.5%, but a 2.1% increase when excluding the impact of the Kuwait operations disposal. The company achieved an organic growth rate of 11.1%, driven by constant currency growth and increased revenue from colocation, lease amendments, and new sites. Adjusted EBITDA stood at $248.5 million, with a stable margin of 57.3%. The company also reported a significant improvement in income, with $32.3 million compared to a loss in the previous year, and a strong cash flow from operations of $254.8 million.

Strategically, IHS Towers announced the disposal of its Rwanda operations and the repayment of high-interest debt in Nigeria and Brazil, reducing overall group debt by $154 million. The company also replaced its existing revolving credit facility with a new one, extending its financial flexibility. These actions align with the company’s focus on maximizing free cash flow and reducing debt.

Looking ahead, IHS Towers remains optimistic about its growth prospects, supported by the ongoing rollout of 5G technology across its markets and macroeconomic stability, particularly in Nigeria. The company plans to continue prioritizing debt reduction while considering other capital allocation strategies as it approaches its leverage target. The management’s confidence is reflected in the raised guidance for 2025, anticipating increased revenues and profitability driven by strong operational performance and favorable currency movements.
