An announcement from IHI ( (JP:7013) ) is now available.
IHI Corporation will transfer all shares of its U.S. subsidiary IHI Power Services Corp. to Kyuden International Americas, a unit of Kyushu Electric Power’s international arm, as part of a strategic portfolio shift in its overseas carbon solution business. The deal, set to close by the end of May 2026, is intended to leverage Kyuden’s global energy expertise and U.S. market ambitions to drive the sustainable growth of IHI Power Services, while allowing IHI to reallocate management resources to higher-growth areas.
IHI Power Services has built a significant U.S. footprint in power plant operation, maintenance, and consulting, serving multiple facilities and supporting regulatory compliance and asset value enhancement. IHI argues that combining this platform with Kyuden’s technical capabilities and capital for continued growth investment will strengthen competitiveness in a U.S. power O&M market expanding on the back of renewables, AI-driven load growth, and aging infrastructure, benefiting both the business and its stakeholders over the longer term.
The most recent analyst rating on (JP:7013) stock is a Buy with a Yen4201.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on IHI stock, see the JP:7013 Stock Forecast page.
