Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. has finalized its purchase of 34,563,600 treasury shares, with an investment totaling approximately 34.99 billion yen, as part of a strategy outlined in their November 2023 board meeting. The acquired shares represent about 2.5% of the company’s total outstanding shares and are set to be cancelled by March 31, 2025, which will leave Idemitsu with 1,358,078,690 shares issued.
