ICFG Subsidiary InvesCore Posts Strong FY25 Growth Despite Covenant Breaches

ICFG’s main subsidiary InvesCore reported strong FY25 results from its microfinance operations, with net interest income up 38%, profit rising 21% to MNT 101 billion and gross loan portfolio expanding 22% to MNT 915 billion. Central Asia operations saw profit surge and equity grew 35%, while the borrower base increased to about 190,000, underscoring the resilience and growth trajectory of its regional and digital lending strategy.

Despite robust profitability and liquidity, InvesCore breached certain financial covenants after a sharp rise in past-due and non-performing loans driven by inflationary pressures in Mongolia’s NBFI sector. The company has strengthened asset quality management, remains in talks with lenders, and has so far avoided any enforcement action or acceleration of its facilities, a key concern for investors monitoring credit risk and funding stability.
