Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited held its First Extraordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of 2026 on 23 April at its Beijing head office, with 7,015 shareholders and proxies present in person or online. The meeting represented 296.02 billion shares with voting rights, or 83.0580% of the bank’s total voting share capital, with strong participation from both A share and H share investors.

The ESM was duly convened and chaired in accordance with PRC company law, listing rules, and the bank’s Articles of Association, and did not require a separate vote by preference shareholders. All proposals set out in the meeting notice were put to a poll using a combination of on-site and online voting, with Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services acting as scrutineer, underscoring the bank’s adherence to regulatory and corporate governance standards.
