IAMGOLD ( (TSE:IMG) ) has shared an update.
On December 22, 2025, IAMGOLD completed its previously announced acquisition of all outstanding shares of Mines D’Or Orbec Inc., following a final order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on December 18, 2025 approving the plan of arrangement. The deal brings Orbec’s Muus Project into IAMGOLD’s newly formed Nelligan Mining Complex in Quebec’s Chibougamau–Chapais region, consolidating control over key mineralized structures that already host the Monster Lake, Nelligan and Philibert deposits. By folding the Muus Project into this complex, IAMGOLD strengthens its position in one of Canada’s largest pre-production gold districts and sets the stage for an expanded exploration program in 2026, potentially enhancing long-term growth prospects and regional scale for shareholders and local stakeholders.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:IMG) stock is a Buy with a C$21.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on IAMGOLD stock, see the TSE:IMG Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on TSE:IMG Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:IMG is a Outperform.
IAMGOLD’s overall stock score is driven by strong technical momentum and positive corporate events, such as strategic acquisitions and market recognition. However, high valuation and operational challenges, particularly in cash flow and production costs, temper the outlook. The company needs to address these operational inefficiencies to enhance its financial performance and sustain growth.
