Mkango Resources ( (TSE:MKA) ) just unveiled an update.

HyProMag USA and Intelligent Lifecycle Solutions have commissioned an Inserma hard disk drive magnet pre-processing system at ILS’s Williston, South Carolina facility, marking a key operational milestone in building a U.S. rare earth magnet recycling platform. The site hosts two automated skid-mounted units capable of separating magnet assemblies from more than 60,000 hard disk drives per week, providing scalable feedstock for HyProMag USA’s planned recycling and manufacturing hub in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

The South Carolina operation forms part of a hub-and-spoke model in which regional facilities recover and pre-process magnet-bearing materials before shipping them to the Texas hub, which is expected to create 90–100 skilled jobs. Supported by federal, state and local leaders, the initiative is framed as strengthening domestic supply chains, national security and sustainability, while contributing to a broader U.S. and global network of rare earth magnet recycling facilities serving advanced manufacturing and rapidly expanding AI and data-centre infrastructure.
