In the first quarter of 2025, Huaneng Power International reported a 5.66% year-on-year decrease in total electricity sold, amounting to 106.633 billion kWh. The company is actively pursuing a green transformation, with increased wind and photovoltaic power capacity contributing to a rise in new energy generation. However, a decline in coal-fired power generation due to reduced utilization hours and a shift in energy mix led to an overall drop in power generation.
