Huaneng Power International, Inc. has issued its sixth tranche of super short-term commercial papers for 2026, raising RMB1.5 billion in the domestic interbank bond market with a 70‑day maturity and a 1.47% interest rate. The issuance is part of a broader debt financing mandate of up to RMB170 billion approved at the 2024 annual general meeting, underscoring the company’s active liability management strategy within its regulatory limits.

Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Industrial Bank acted as joint lead underwriters, placing the notes through book‑building among domestic banks.
