HSBC Holdings plc (HSBC) has released an update.
HSBC Holdings plc has announced the issuance of two new series of senior unsecured notes: $1.85 billion at a 5.597% fixed/floating rate due in 2028, and $1.4 billion at a 5.733% fixed/floating rate due in 2032. The notes are part of a thirty-third supplemental indenture, dated May 17, 2024, under the original indenture from August 26, 2009, with The Bank of New York Mellon, London Branch, as trustee, and HSBC Bank USA, National Association, as paying agent, registrar, and calculation agent. This move aims to bolster HSBC’s financial structure by adding long-term debt under pre-defined terms.
