HSBC Progresses with Multi-Million Share Buy-Back

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has continued its share buy-back program, purchasing and cancelling over 3.8 million shares on UK Venues and around 2.9 million shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 10, 2024. This latest transaction is part of a larger buy-back initiative announced on August 1, 2024, which has seen HSBC repurchase over 156 million shares for a total cost of approximately $1.33 billion. The company’s issued share capital now stands at 18,356,600,569 ordinary shares with voting rights, following the cancellation of the repurchased shares.
