HSBC Holdings Executes Major Share Buy-back

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has recently purchased and cancelled a significant number of its own shares, with 2,975,681 shares bought on UK Venues and 1,942,000 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on September 3, 2024. Since the start of the buy-back program on August 1, 2024, HSBC has repurchased over 127 million shares, spending around US$1,075.5 million. This ongoing buy-back program is aimed at reducing the company’s issued share capital, which will adjust to 18,400,345,586 ordinary shares after the cancellation of the repurchased shares.
