HSBC Enhances Value with Share Buy-Back

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has announced the buy-back and cancellation of a significant number of its shares, enhancing shareholder value. On September 4, 2024, the company repurchased over 6 million shares across UK and Hong Kong venues, spending around US$1.128 billion since the buy-back program began on August 1, 2024. This strategic move is expected to affect the company’s issued share capital, reducing it to 18,371,113,865 ordinary shares with voting rights.
