HSBC Continues Share Buy-Back Program

HSBC Holdings (GB:HSBA) has released an update.

HSBC Holdings plc has recently bought back 3,252,069 of its ordinary shares on UK Venues and 3,382,800 shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for cancellation, impacting the company’s total issued share capital. The repurchase is part of a larger buy-back program announced on August 1, 2024, which has seen the company repurchase over 170 million shares for around US$1.44 billion to date. Following the latest cancellation, HSBC’s total voting rights stand at 18,349,554,908 ordinary shares.
