The latest announcement is out from Hot Chili Limited ( (AU:HCH) ).
Hot Chili has reported further encouraging drilling results from its La Verde copper-gold discovery, about 30 kilometres south of its planned Costa Fuego processing hub in Chile’s Atacama region. Recent work points to continued growth of La Verde’s high-grade core and stronger confidence in the continuity of higher-grade mineralisation close to surface.
A new diamond hole on the eastern flank has visually intersected about 180 metres of chalcopyrite-rich, porphyry-style copper mineralisation, extending the high-grade core by roughly 175 metres and suggesting the deposit remains open. Reverse circulation drilling beneath a historical waste dump has also returned wide visual zones of strong near-surface mineralisation, enhancing the potential for a higher-grade starter pit.
Assay results from diamond hole DKD040 confirm better-than-expected copper-equivalent grades in an area previously modelled as lower grade, indicating potential upside for La Verde’s resource model. With assays pending for 14 additional holes and a third drill rig set to start, the campaign could materially upgrade the scale and quality of La Verde within Hot Chili’s broader Costa Fuego development plans.
