Honda Announces Progress on Share Buyback Plan

Honda Motor Company (HMC) has released an update.

Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has announced the acquisition of 55.19 million shares of its own common stock, amounting to approximately 84 billion yen, as part of a share buyback program. The buyback took place from August 1 to August 31, 2024, following a Board of Directors’ resolution on May 10, 2024, which allows for purchasing up to 180 million shares (3.7% of total issued shares) for as much as 300 billion yen by March 31, 2025.
