Hon Hai Precision Industry ( (HNHPF) ) has issued an update.
Hon Hai’s subsidiary Cloud Network Technology Singapore is significantly increasing its stake in Mexican unit FII AMC Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V., acquiring more than 2.3 billion common shares for USD 124 million via a related-party capital injection. After the deal, Cloud Network Technology will effectively own virtually all of FII AMC Mexico, underscoring Hon Hai’s commitment to deepening its manufacturing base in Mexico for the long term.
In a separate move on the same date, Cloud Network Technology Singapore is also boosting its holdings in Ingrasys Technology Mexico S.A. de C.V. by purchasing 234.3 million common shares for USD 12.72 million as part of another intra-group capital increase. The two transactions, designated as long-term investments and approved by the board, further consolidate Hon Hai’s control over its Mexican subsidiaries while only marginally impacting overall assets and equity ratios, signaling a strategic reinforcement rather than a shift in business model.
