The latest announcement is out from Valleyview Resources Ltd. ( (TSE:HLU) ).
Homeland Uranium Corp. has completed its Phase II reverse circulation drilling program at the Coyote Basin Uranium Project in Colorado, exceeding its planned meterage with 33 holes totaling 5,423 metres. The campaign targeted a near-surface mineralized trend associated with an historical uranium and vanadium resource, and every drillhole intersected elevated or locally anomalous radioactivity.
In the central project area, downhole gamma logging outlined a broadly continuous but locally variable near-surface radioactive zone from surface to as much as 150 metres depth over an 800-by-400-metre footprint. In the southern area, results defined a laterally continuous horizon of elevated radioactivity over roughly 1,000 by 600 metres that remains open to the south and east, reinforcing the scale and continuity of the system as the company awaits geochemical assays to guide further exploration.
