HIVE Digital Technologies ( (TSE:HIVE) ) has shared an announcement.
On May 11, 2026, HIVE Digital Technologies adopted an amendment to its Articles of Incorporation, raising the quorum requirement for shareholder meetings to two persons holding at least one-third of outstanding common shares, from a prior standard of any two shareholders. The change, already approved at the firm’s annual meeting, aligns the company’s governance practices with Nasdaq rules and may bolster the legitimacy of future shareholder decisions.
Separately, on May 8, 2026, HIVE said its BUZZ High Performance Computing unit contracted a new fibre optic network overbuild and carrier transport upgrade for the Grand Falls Data Centre in New Brunswick, with an estimated US$3.1 million capital commitment over five years. The project, supported by a major Canadian carrier and high-capacity 100 Gbps and 400 Gbps links, is intended to convert the already energized 70 MW site into a 50 MW Tier III+ “sovereign AI factory,” strengthening HIVE’s positioning in AI-focused data infrastructure and its ability to serve enterprise and government clients.
HIVE plans to use proceeds from a recent US$115 million exchangeable note issue to fund GPU AI and Tier III HPC growth, including the Grand Falls conversion. Management emphasized that dedicated connectivity, combined with power and expanding GPU capacity, should help establish New Brunswick as a key Canadian AI hub and support BUZZ’s expansion in high-performance computing colocation and sovereign AI services.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:HIVE) stock is a Hold with a C$3.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on HIVE Digital Technologies stock, see the TSE:HIVE Stock Forecast page.
