Highfield Resources Limited has announced the acquisition of the Southey potash project in Canada and a strategic plan to raise funds through the issuance of new shares. The agreement involves a transaction valued at US$286 million and aims to raise at least US$220 million from strategic investors, in addition to a two-phase institutional placement and a follow-on offer for existing shareholders.
