XTEK Limited ( (AU:HCL) ) has provided an announcement.

HighCom Limited’s technology division has entered the tethered drone market by partnering with U.S. aerospace specialist Menet Aero to supply a tethered unmanned aerial system, known as a Variable Height Antenna, to the Australian Department of Defence for testing and evaluation. The Variable Height Antenna uses a tethered unmanned aerial vehicle linked to a ground station to provide continuous power, secure wired data transfer, and stable, high-altitude passive surveillance and communications capabilities.

By adding tethered aerial solutions to its portfolio of uncrewed systems and sensor payloads, HighCom is strengthening its role as a technology integrator for evolving defence communications and surveillance needs. The initial Defence contract marks a strategic milestone that underscores the company’s positioning in advanced defence technologies and could enhance its appeal to defence and security stakeholders seeking persistent surveillance and communication capabilities beyond battery-limited drones.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:HCL) stock is a Hold with a A$0.32 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on XTEK Limited stock, see the AU:HCL Stock Forecast page.
