Hello Group Inc., a prominent entity in Asia’s online social and entertainment industry, provides platforms like Momo and Tantan for social networking and dating, facilitating user interactions based on location and interests.
In the first quarter of 2025, Hello Group Inc. reported a slight decrease in net revenues by 1.5% year-over-year, reaching RMB2,520.8 million. Despite this, the company experienced a significant increase in net income attributable to Hello Group Inc., which rose to RMB358.0 million from RMB5.2 million in the same period of 2024.
Key financial metrics revealed a robust growth in overseas net revenues, which surged by 71.9% year-over-year. However, the company faced challenges with a decline in monthly active users on its Tantan app and a reduction in total paying users for both Momo and Tantan apps. The company also implemented changes in segment reporting, consolidating its operations into a single segment to better align with its strategic focus.
Looking ahead, Hello Group Inc. anticipates a decrease in total net revenues for the second quarter of 2025, projecting a range between RMB2.57 billion to RMB2.67 billion. The company remains optimistic about the contribution of its overseas products to its financial performance in the upcoming quarters.
