Helix Exploration Plc ( (GB:HEX) ) has issued an update.
Helix Exploration has leased its first high-pressure jumbo tube trailer, providing dedicated capacity to transport compressed helium from the Rudyard Helium Project as it moves from pure exploration into operational readiness. The company plans to build out a fleet of trailers in the coming months to match anticipated production ramp-up and customer delivery schedules.
The announcement comes amid a severe global helium shortage triggered by the shutdown of all three helium plants in Qatar and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which has pushed spot prices sharply higher and raised risks for semiconductor and other high-tech supply chains. By developing a standalone U.S. helium source that is not dependent on LNG processing or exposed to geopolitical shipping routes, Helix positions Rudyard as a strategic alternative supply option for American industrial and technology users.
