HCM II Acquisition Corp. Class A ( (HOND) ) just unveiled an update.

On March 26, 2025, HCM II Acquisition Corp. and Terrestrial Energy Inc. announced a business combination agreement that will see Terrestrial Energy become a publicly traded company on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol ‘IMSR’. The transaction, expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, values Terrestrial Energy at a pre-money equity value of $925 million and aims to raise approximately $280 million in gross proceeds. This capital will accelerate the commercial deployment of Terrestrial Energy’s IMSR technology, which has strong demand forecasts across key growth sectors. The transaction is anticipated to enhance Terrestrial Energy’s market leadership in the small modular reactor sector and is supported by partnerships with notable organizations and a highly experienced management team.

The company focuses on industrial applications such as data center power supply, industrial heat and power, grid power, and green fuels sectors.
