Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd. ( (IN:HCC) ) has shared an update.
Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. has secured a major contract worth about Rs 2,917.6 crore from the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra for a joint venture project to build a 22.21 km raw water tunnel and a 250 MLD water treatment plant in Raigad. Within the joint venture, HCC will execute work valued at roughly Rs 1,100 crore, leveraging tunnel boring machine technology to transport water from the Kondhane Dam in Karjat to a new treatment facility at Mohope in Panvel.
The contract follows a Design, Build and Operate model under which HCC’s scope also includes designing, supplying, erecting, testing, commissioning and operating the water treatment plant for 15 years. This project is central to CIDCO’s long-term plan to reinforce water supply infrastructure for Navi Mumbai and nearby areas, aiming to provide reliable and sustainable water resources to support rapid urban and industrial expansion in the region.
