Harmonic Drive Systems Inc. has announced a strategic restructuring wherein it will conduct a simplified absorption-type company split, transferring its mechatronic product manufacturing business to its wholly owned subsidiary, Harmonic Winbel Inc., effective October 1, 2024. This move is aimed at capitalizing on the growing demand for advanced semiconductors and expanding data centers, with a focus on optimizing operations and asset allocation within the Harmonic Drive Systems Group. The split will not involve any share allotment or change in capital since Harmonic Winbel Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary.
