Hamak Strategy pivots to dual gold and Bitcoin model after transformational year

Hamak Gold Limited ( (GB:HAMA) ) has shared an announcement.

Hamak Strategy Limited, formerly Hamak Gold, has repositioned itself as a West African gold explorer with an innovative treasury model that combines Bitcoin and physical gold holdings. The company operates the Nimba licence in Liberia and is advancing the Akoko project option in Ghana, while also investing in listed Bitcoin-related equities to complement its resource portfolio.

For the year to 31 December 2025, Hamak reported a transformational period marked by a £5 million capital raise, a new board and advisory team, and the adoption of a dual gold-and-digital-asset strategy. It secured an exclusive option over the Akoko licences, advanced drilling at Nimba, consolidated 100% ownership of that licence, expanded its Bitcoin and physical gold reserves, and signalled that the low implied acquisition cost at Akoko could be strongly value accretive for shareholders.

Post-period, the company monetised shares from its former Nimba joint venture partner, acquired a stake in Acquis-listed Vaultz Capital and appointed a new Executive Director of Strategy to deepen expertise in gold, crypto and treasury management. Management argues that dual exposure to gold and Bitcoin, alongside the potential development of the Akoko resource, positions Hamak for growth while acknowledging the high volatility and regulatory risks inherent in its crypto treasury holdings.
