Halliburton ( (HAL) ) has issued an announcement.
On April 21, 2026, Halliburton reported first-quarter 2026 net income of $461 million, or $0.55 per diluted share, more than double the $204 million, or $0.24 per share, earned a year earlier, on flat revenue of $5.4 billion and an operating margin of 13%. Operating income rose to $679 million, cash flow from operations reached $273 million with $123 million of free cash flow, and the company returned capital through about $100 million of share repurchases and a $0.17 per-share dividend.
Completion and Production revenue fell 3% to $3.0 billion with a 17% drop in operating income, pressured by weaker stimulation and pressure pumping in North America and the Middle East, while Drilling and Evaluation revenue grew 4% to $2.4 billion on stronger project management and drilling services in Latin America and Europe despite Middle East conflict weighing on both divisions. International revenue rose 3% to $3.3 billion, led by double-digit gains in Latin America and Europe/Africa that offset a 13% decline in Middle East/Asia, and Halliburton underscored its technology edge with new drilling, geothermal and CO₂ injection offerings and a digital well construction milestone, reinforcing its competitive positioning in high-value energy services segments.
The most recent analyst rating on (HAL) stock is a Buy with a $45.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Halliburton stock, see the HAL Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on HAL Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, HAL is a Neutral.
The score is held back most by weakening 2025 profitability/cash conversion and cautious 2026 guidance (near-term revenue and margin compression, especially in North America, plus SAP cost headwinds). These are partly offset by a clear technical uptrend, improved leverage versus 2020, and ongoing shareholder returns (dividend and buybacks).
