Haitong Securities and Guotai Junan Securities have made significant progress towards their proposed merger, receiving key approvals from the Shanghai SASAC and clearance from the SAMR regarding anti-trust filings. This merger will involve a share exchange and the issuance of new shares as part of an ancillary fundraising effort.
