Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited has announced a proposed merger between Guotai Junan Securities and Haitong Securities, initiating a share exchange as part of the absorption transaction. The company confirmed that currently no further inside information needs to be disclosed. Trading of the company’s shares and notes on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, which was halted, is set to resume on the morning of September 10, 2024.
