GreenLight Metals Inc ( (TSE:GRL) ) has issued an update.
GreenLight Metals has secured key regulatory approvals from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Forest Service to conduct up to about 7,000 metres of exploration drilling on the Soo Line mineral parcel at its Bend VMS Project in Wisconsin. The company has begun mobilizing two diamond drill rigs and re-engaged veteran-owned contractor Taconite Drilling LLC, aiming to extend high-grade copper-gold-tellurium mineralization identified in a successful 2025 Phase 1 program, while integrating borehole EM surveys to refine targeting and advancing parallel federal permitting that could enable further expansion of drilling later in 2026.
The 2026 winter campaign will initially test the northeast down-plunge extension of known mineralization from up to 15 permitted pads on private mineral lands, with a portion of the approved meterage to be completed before spring breakup and the remainder later in the year. By combining improved technical work, proven contractors and advancing discussions with federal agencies on adjacent parcels, GreenLight is seeking to significantly advance the Bend Project’s resource potential and strengthen its position in North America’s VMS exploration space, with implications for future development options and value creation for stakeholders if drilling results remain strong.
