Greencoat Renewables Plc ( (DE:GRP) ) has provided an update.
Greencoat Renewables plc has executed another tranche of its previously announced share buyback programme, repurchasing 500,137 ordinary shares on Euronext Dublin on 22 April 2026 at a volume-weighted average price of €0.7415 per share. The company intends to cancel the repurchased shares, a move that marginally reduces the share count and can enhance earnings per share and capital returns for remaining investors.
Following this transaction, Greencoat Renewables now has 1,097,987,542 ordinary shares in issue, excluding 200,000 shares held in treasury. The continued execution of the buyback underscores management’s focus on shareholder value and capital discipline at a time when listed renewables vehicles are seeking to optimise their market valuations and capital structures.
