Great Southern Mining has begun deep diamond drilling at its 100%-owned Golden Boulder discovery within the Duketon Gold Project in Western Australia, marking the first diamond and first deep drilling beyond 155 metres in this primary mineralised zone. Initial work includes a Western Australian Government co-funded hole to 700 metres at the Ogilvies target to test deep-seated structures believed to source multiple shallow gold trends, alongside a second hole into the Main Line, where prior reverse circulation drilling defined a 3.5-kilometre mineralised strike with high-grade intercepts.
The company plans major follow-up programs of 10,000 to 15,000 metres at Golden Boulder and the emerging Amy Clarke discovery, where late-2025 aircore drilling outlined 4.7 kilometres of mineralisation, while also advancing an ~800-metre EIS-supported diamond hole at the Diorite Hill intrusive complex in its East Laverton Project. Backed by a A$4.6 million capital raising completed in March 2026, GSN is fully funded to pursue these exploration campaigns, which are expected to refine its geological understanding, support belt-wide targeting and potentially enhance its position in the competitive Western Australian gold sector.
