Great Eastern Life Assurance Company Limited has successfully issued S$500 million in 3.928% subordinated notes due 2039, with an early call option in 2034, under its S$2 billion Euro Medium Term Note Program. These notes have received preliminary approval for listing on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST), with the expected listing date set for around April 18, 2024. The move signifies GEL’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its capital structure.
