Google and ENGIE Boost Renewable Energy Deal in Belgium

Engie SA (FR:ENGI) has released an update.

Google and ENGIE have reinforced their partnership in Belgium by signing new corporate power purchase agreements, whereby ENGIE will supply Google with over 118 MW of renewable energy. This collaboration will support Google’s goal of achieving ‘Net zero emissions’ and 24/7 decarbonized energy by 2030, utilizing energy from four new onshore wind farms and an existing wind farm in Belgium. ENGIE, reinforcing its market leadership with 2.4 GW of green electricity sales in 2023, is set to accelerate renewable development to reach 2.5 GW by 2030 in Belgium.
