GoldMining ( (TSE:GOLD) ) has provided an announcement.

On April 28, 2026, GoldMining released an updated preliminary economic assessment for its La Mina gold-copper project in Antioquia, Colombia, showing a 265% jump in after-tax NPV at a 5% discount rate versus its prior study. Using updated base case prices of $3,500/oz gold, $4.70/lb copper and $40/oz silver, the study outlines an after-tax NPV of $1.0 billion, a 32.2% IRR and a 2.7-year payback on initial capital of $523 million.

The PEA envisions a conventional 15,000 tpd open-pit operation producing an average 152,400 oz of gold equivalent annually in the first five years and 1.5 million oz over an 11.2-year mine life at AISC of $1,045/oz gold on a by-product basis. At current spot prices, the after-tax NPV rises to about $1.8 billion with a 49.1% IRR, underscoring La Mina’s leverage to higher metals prices and reinforcing the project’s potential importance within GoldMining’s broader resource portfolio, while remaining subject to the usual uncertainties associated with PEA-level, resource-based economics.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:GOLD) stock is a Buy with a C$3.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on GoldMining stock, see the TSE:GOLD Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on GOLD Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, GOLD is a Neutral.

The score is primarily constrained by weak financial performance (no revenue, persistent losses, and ongoing cash burn) despite a conservatively levered balance sheet. Technical indicators are mixed but lean soft (negative MACD and below key moving averages). Valuation is also pressured because losses drive a negative P/E and there is no dividend yield support.
