Goldgroup Mining ( (TSE:GGA) ) just unveiled an update.

Goldgroup Mining has agreed to sell its subsidiary Minera Apolo, which indirectly holds a 100% interest in the Pinos gold-silver project in Zacatecas, to an arm’s-length private British Columbia company for US$5 million in staged payments, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval. The buyer will also assume all associated liabilities, including remaining purchase obligations and US$1.5 million of debt to Pinos’ previous owners, fully releasing Goldgroup from future claims related to the asset. Management framed the divestiture as a strategic move to monetize a non-core project following the acquisition of the larger and more advanced San Francisco gold mine, allowing the company to concentrate capital and operational efforts on optimizing production at its flagship Cerro Prieto mine and advancing the restart of gold output at San Francisco, thereby consolidating its position in a promising gold district in Sonora. Goldgroup also clarified that it paid Machai Capital Inc. an upfront fee of $200,000 for digital marketing services and that Machai and its principal held no Goldgroup securities as of mid-October 2025.
