An update from Golden Cariboo Resources ( (TSE:GCC) ) is now available.

Golden Cariboo Resources has completed deep drill hole QGQ25-28 to 754.69 meters at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in British Columbia, with the hole ending in mineralization roughly 12 meters from Osisko Development’s claim boundary. The hole extends about 283 meters beyond a previous mineralized hole and core shows veining, silicification and disseminated pyrite, with assays pending.

Management says the strong step-out hole supports the potential for a robust gold system and will help test the extent and continuity of mineralization near a major neighbor’s ground. In parallel, the company has applied to register an additional 1,283.59 hectares of mineral claims adjoining its already large land package, positioning it to advance future regional exploration along the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults.

More about Golden Cariboo Resources

Golden Cariboo Resources is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on gold, advancing its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in central British Columbia. The project, totaling roughly 95,000 hectares, lies along a historically prolific 90-kilometer placer gold trend and shares a geological corridor with Osisko Development’s Cariboo Gold Project, with similarities to the Spanish Mountain sediment-hosted vein gold deposit.

The Quesnelle property hosts the historic Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit near Hixon, discovered in 1865 and developed over a compact footprint at the Main zone along Hixon Creek. Golden Cariboo is pursuing highly targeted drilling and trenching to define an orogenic-style gold system in a region that has produced placer gold for more than a century and continues to see active small-scale mining today.
