Godolphin Resources Limited ( (AU:GRL) ) has provided an update.
Godolphin Resources has reported the discovery of a new sulphide zone 350 metres south-east and along strike of its existing Lewis Ponds gold, silver and base metals deposit in New South Wales. The zone, intersected in drillhole GLPRCDD003, measures 25.1 metres downhole and contains an estimated 6% sulphides including pyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, galena and chalcopyrite, on the margin of a major induced polarisation chargeability target.
The find is an early result from a 2,500 metre drilling program aimed at testing the untested Eastern IP Chargeability Target, which extends for more than 1.5 kilometres along strike from the current resource. Management says the intersection validates its geophysical model, supports the view that the Lewis Ponds mineral system extends beyond the defined resource and underscores the potential to significantly expand mineralisation, with further drilling planned into the core of the anomaly and additional step-out holes along the trend.
