Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd ( (TSE:GMG) ) has shared an announcement.
Graphene Manufacturing Group has reported a major performance leap in its graphene aluminium-ion battery cells, developed with the University of Queensland and Rio Tinto, with independent testing from the Battery Innovation Center. The cells now deliver 49 Wh/kg when charged in six minutes, up from 26 Wh/kg in late 2025, surpassing a leading high-power lithium titanate oxide battery on fast-charge energy density.
When charged over 60 minutes, the graphene aluminium-ion cells reach 101 Wh/kg, up from 58 Wh/kg, and maintain performance over hundreds of 10C fast-charge cycles. GMG has also created a new chloride-free, non-corrosive hybrid electrolyte and uses aluminium foil instead of copper substrates, avoiding lithium and copper and potentially lowering costs and weight while targeting markets that require ultra-fast, repeatable charging beyond the capabilities of standard EV chemistries like NMC and LFP.
Spark’s Take on GMG Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, GMG is a Neutral.
The score is primarily weighed down by weak financial performance—large ongoing losses, continued cash burn, and negative equity—despite improving revenue and exceptionally strong gross margins. Technicals also point to soft near-term momentum, while valuation provides limited insight due to a negative P/E and no dividend yield data.
