Global Water Resources ( (GWRS) ) has provided an announcement.
Global Water Resources, Inc. reported that on March 5, 2025 its regulated subsidiaries, Global Water – Santa Cruz Water Company, Inc. and Global Water – Palo Verde Utilities Company, Inc., filed rate case applications with the Arizona Corporation Commission seeking higher water and wastewater rates. After initial and subsequent testimonies by regulators and consumer advocates, the parties filed a Notice of Settlement and Request to Modify Procedural Schedule on April 14, 2026, marking a key step in resolving these rate matters.
Under the settlement framework, the parties agreed to bifurcate the two rate cases so that the GW-Santa Cruz rate case is now settled, while GW-Palo Verde will move to withdraw its current application and plans to refile a new rate case in 2027 using a 2026 test year. GW-Palo Verde will also seek authorization to increase a customer bill credit tied to the company’s Southwest Plant, and the company expects the settlement agreement and supporting settlement testimony to be filed with the commission on April 28, 2026 and May 22, 2026, respectively, shaping future customer rates and credits.

Spark’s Take on GWRS Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, GWRS is a Neutral.
The score is driven primarily by mixed financial performance (improving balance sheet and revenue growth but sharply weaker margins and deeply negative free cash flow). Technicals also weigh on the rating given the clear downtrend despite oversold signals. Valuation is a headwind due to a very high P/E, while earnings-call commentary supports longer-term growth but underscores near-term earnings, expense, and regulatory timing risks.
