Glencore Resolves Legal Disputes Over Past Misconduct

Glencore (GB:GLEN) has released an update.

Glencore PLC has reached a resolution with Swiss and Dutch authorities, ending investigations into allegations of bribery in the Democratic Republic of the Congo dating back to 2011. Without admitting to the findings, Glencore has accepted a summary penalty order from the Swiss Office of the Attorney General, which includes a fine and compensation totaling approximately USD 152 million. The company has emphasized its commitment to ethical conduct and improved compliance measures, particularly since 2016.
