Glarner Kantonalbank is implementing a planned leadership transition at its Glarus Nord branch group, with long-standing manager Daniel Aebli handing over responsibility to internal candidate Marco Küng on 1 February 2026. Aebli, who has led the unit for 16 years, will remain with the bank in an expanded role as an investment advisor, while Küng, employed at the bank since 2009 and holding advanced qualifications in banking and management as well as local board mandates, will head a young, regionally anchored team focused on close client relationships and customized solutions, underlining the bank’s strategy of continuity, internal succession and strong regional anchoring.
