Germanium Mining ( (TSE:GMC) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Germanium Mining Corp. has completed remote sensing work on its Lac du Km 35 property in Quebec’s Chibougamau region, refining its understanding of key structural features associated with the historical Laganière germanium showing. Using high-resolution ESA satellite imagery, the company identified new structural and circular features, including a 300-metre circular anomaly and multiple major trends that align with and extend beyond existing government geological maps.
The study has outlined numerous potential outcrops near the Laganière showing, which reported the highest known germanium value from an outcrop in Quebec, and these will be the focus of mapping and sampling in a planned 2026 field program. By integrating the remote sensing data into a GIS system and detailed maps, Germanium Mining aims to optimize exploration logistics at a time when germanium’s strategic importance and constrained supply, particularly following Chinese export bans to the U.S., underscore the potential significance of new discoveries in North America.
