An update from Genesis Energy Limited ( (DE:1G6) ) is now available.
New Zealand’s market regulator NZ RegCo has granted Genesis Energy a waiver from the standard five-business-day notice requirement for announcing the record date of its interim dividend. The exemption applies specifically to the upcoming interim dividend tied to Genesis’s interim results, a planned placement, and a rights offer.
Under the conditions, Genesis must announce its interim results, capital raising via placement and rights offer, and dividend details on 23 February 2026, with the record date set no earlier than 26 February 2026. NZ RegCo accepted that earlier disclosure would have inadvertently signalled a significant transaction, and concluded that giving investors one full trading day to adjust their holdings ahead of the record date is sufficient in the circumstances.
