Genesis Energy Boosts Gas Supply Amid Power Crunch

Genesis Energy Limited (DE:1G6) has released an update.

Genesis Energy has secured an additional 3.2 PJ of gas to power New Zealand’s Huntly Power Station’s Unit 5 at full capacity, a critical move amidst unprecedented low water and wind levels challenging electricity generation. The temporary idling of Methanex’s manufacturing operations allows this boost, ensuring energy supply continuity through winter and spring. The company has also increased coal shipments to support future energy needs.
