GCash, a mobile wallet platform in the Philippines, has seen its valuation surge to $5 billion following significant investments from Ayala Corp. and Japan’s largest bank, MUFG. The news comes as a part of an official press release from Mynt, the parent company of GCash, which was filed in compliance with corporate governance and disclosure regulations.
