Galiano Gold ( (TSE:GAU) ) has shared an update.

On May 11, 2026, Galiano Gold reported strong new assay results from its ongoing Abore drilling program at the Asanko Gold Mine in Ghana, highlighting multiple high-grade gold intercepts such as 53 metres at 3.9 g/t and 32 metres at 4.7 g/t. The campaign, now about 14,500 metres into a planned 30,000 metres, has extended mineralization up to 180 metres below the existing underground Mineral Resource, improved continuity in zones beneath the Main and South pits, and identified new high-grade areas that remain open along strike and at depth.

These results support significant potential growth of Abore’s underground Mineral Resource and strengthen the case for a future underground operation, which could enhance the mine’s long-term production profile and asset value. To advance this, Galiano has begun permitting for an underground exploration drilling adit, aiming to start ground-breaking in early 2027 subject to approvals, a step that signals increasing technical confidence and strategic commitment to Abore’s deeper mineral endowment.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:GAU) stock is a Buy with a C$4.25 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Galiano Gold stock, see the TSE:GAU Stock Forecast page.
