Galantas Gold ( (TSE:GAL) ) has issued an update.
Galantas Gold has launched a 5,000‑metre diamond drilling program at its Indiana gold project near Copiapó in northern Chile, marking its first drill campaign on the property. The 17 planned holes will tighten drill spacing, deliver geotechnical data for mine design and probe down‑dip extensions and structural intersections of the Bondadosa and Flor de Espino veins to assess potential resource growth.
The work is intended to underpin completion of a preliminary economic assessment and finalize a mine plan for a selective underground operation targeting high‑grade gold‑copper mineralization. With Indiana hosting an inferred resource of 4.93 million tonnes grading 2.24 g/t gold and 1.31% copper, and alongside the Andacollo Oro acquisition, the project strengthens Galantas’ push to establish a significant gold‑copper footprint in Chile’s prolific Atacama mining district.
