Furukawa Electric Co ( (JP:5801) ) has issued an update.

Furukawa Electric reported that its fiscal 2025 consolidated results exceeded earlier forecasts, driven by stronger sales of data center-related products in its Communications Solutions division, higher demand for power cables and transmission components in Energy Infrastructure, pricing improvements in Automotive Products and profit gains from stable copper prices in Electronics Component Materials. Profit attributable to owners of the parent rose sharply, aided by a larger-than-expected gain from revising its retirement benefit plan, leading the company to raise its year-end dividend to ¥210 per share and signaling stronger earnings momentum.

The company also revised its shareholder return policy, shifting to a dividend-on-equity metric with a 3.5% DOE target over fiscal 2026 to 2030, aiming to balance stable shareholder returns with continued investment for growth. Based on this new framework and an upcoming 10-for-1 stock split effective July 1, 2026, Furukawa forecast an annual dividend of ¥22 per share for the year ending March 31, 2027, equivalent to ¥220 on a pre-split basis, underscoring a commitment to predictable, performance-linked payouts.

The most recent analyst rating on (JP:5801) stock is a Buy with a Yen53000.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Furukawa Electric Co stock, see the JP:5801 Stock Forecast page.
